How We Work

How we work.

Stated up front, so neither of us finds out in month two

1

Async by default

Written updates and Loom walkthroughs. One active track at a time, so the thing you are paying for is the thing being worked on.

We are not your full-time ops person. We work best when you have one or two developers who can merge PRs.

Response times

These are commitments, not preferences.

What we don’t do

This list is longer than most shops will publish, because a boundary you can read is worth more than a promise you can’t.

  • We do not touch business logic. We make platform and compliance boringly predictable.
  • We are not your full-time ops person, and we will not pretend to be one.
  • We do not take 24/7 on-call. Sev 1 in four hours is the commitment.
  • We do not sit on live auditor calls under the base retainer.
  • We do not do new builds or migrations inside a retainer — that is a project.
  • We do not ship a change we cannot roll back.
  • We do not take a margin on vendors, and we will tell you when the answer is a product you should just buy.
  • We do not have a hardware-in-the-loop bench. Firmware and bare-metal fleet work is the bridge, not a substitute.

The filter

Every engagement starts with a $1,500 fixed-fee infra review. One week, and it tells both of us whether you need Foundation, the Retainer, or neither.

Foundation starts at $18k, typical $18k–35k, scoped after that review. The Retainer starts at $5,000/mo.

If you need someone in every standup, or a single throat to choke at 3am, we are the wrong shop and we will say so in that first week.
